Overview of Sony SNC-DH240T

The Sony IPELA SNC-DH240T is designed to be installed in tough indoor public locations where the camera needs to be able to withstand attempts at vandalism, such as shopping malls and rail stations. The camera's casing is IK10-rated, meaning that it can stand up to strong knocks and shock while providing security footage at resolutions up to 3-megapixel, ideal for identification purposes.

The camera is also HD compliant, offering video resolution of 1080p at 30fps, so that video is smooth and highly detailed, while the integrated infrared-cut filter allows the camera to capture usable footage day and night when combined with infrared lighting (not included). DEPA video analytics also evaluate audio and video signals to more intelligently detect events while reducing false alarms.

The camera view can be adjusted remotely through the web interface using Easy Focus and Zoom, allowing installers to make quick adjustments without direct access. Additionally, 2-way audio functionality lets camera viewers challenge any unexpected people in view or listen in to audible events on site. Power over Ethernet also simplifies installation by supplying power to the camera through the network connection.
